Dr Mahesh Jayanna obtained his fellowship from the Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2014 after going through vigorous training in Gastroenterology at Lyell McEwin Hospital, Adelaide and Westmead Hospital, Sydney. He also obtained Conjoint Committee accreditation in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy in 2014. His research interest is in endoscopic management of premalignant lesions in the gastrointestinal tract and advanced endoscopic imaging.
He is also actively involved in training junior medical staff, nursing staff and medical students at the Caboolture and Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.
In addition to General Gastroenterology and Hepatology, he has special interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Therapeutic Endoscopy, Gastrointestinal Oncology and Functional Gut Diseases.
