Dr. Ali Zad completed his medical degree at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Iran, in 2002. He undertook Physician training in New South Wales.
His specialty fields are gastroenterology and hepatology which he trained for in Queensland and New South Wales. In 2018, Dr. Zad was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). He is also accredited by the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) to perform gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
Dr. Zad currently practices as a Gastroenterologist at Caboolture Private Hospital and North West Private Hospital. Dr. Zad has an interest in gastroenterological conditions including Reflux (GORD), Swallowing difficulty (Dysphagia), Oesophageal manometry and 24-hour pH, Barrett's oesophagus, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Motility disorder, Liver Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Celiac Disease and Bowel Cancer Screening. Dr. Zad is actively involved in research, and enjoys teaching and mentoring medical students and junior doctors. He is fluent in both Persian and English.
