Dr Strekozov was educated at the University of Sarajevo where he obtained his M.B.B.S. in January 1980 and his Fellowship in General Surgery in 1988. He was working at the University Medical Centre Sarajevo, Institute for Organ Transplantation as a General and Transplant Surgeon and Director of Institute from 1987-1993. He received his Masters Degree at the same University in 1991.
Dr Strekozov moved to Australia in January 1994 and since then has worked at many Queensland Hospitals including Greenslopes Private Hospital, PAH, Mater Hospital & Gold Coast Hospital. He obtained his second Fellowship, F.R.A.C.S. in Sydney 2002.
Dr Strekozov is based at Caboolture Public Hospital as a Senior staff Specialist General Surgeon he also consults privately at North Lakes, Strathpine, Aspley and Caboolture Private Hospital.
In addition Dr Strekozov is a Senior Lecturer of the University of Queensland Medical School since 2003.

- Hernias (open and Laparoscopic) Inguinal, femoral, incisional, umbilical
- Endoscopy and Colonoscopy and banding (member of Gastroenterological Society of Australia)
- Skin Lesions
